Well, this is certainly an interesting little tidbit. Did you know that it is perfectly legal for companies that produce and manufacture food products to keep their test results done on their products a secret? Even the state inspectors can withhold the information. They are not required by Federal law to report their test results to anyone even if they find contaminates. So, people can eat these food products and get sick from it and even die and there is no Federal law to stop it. The peanut plant that originated the recent deadly salmonella poisoning outbreak had test results from 2007 showing that they were contaminated with salmonella, yet no one was informed and when they later retested and got a negative test result, the product was sent out.
